There is nothing remotely rational about the circumstances of homelessness, especially on the West Coast of America and in a wealthy country like the USA. 

It’s hard to describe what homelessness does to the people experiencing it, their family, their friends, the people working on the front lines of poverty and the larger community. It’s more than overwhelming. Reality is distorted. Logic is rare. Life is primal. The politics surrounding the issue can be both inspiring or cruel.  The answers oftentimes feel so far away. It doesn’t have to be that way.

Hopefully, this newsletter, regardless of your own political ideology or experience in life, can offer readers different ways to engage with the issue of housing justice, possibly learn something new along the way and provide you with opportunities to discover some inspiration. After all, everyone deserves a safe place to call home.
